All 86 units, most of which are duplexes requiring two turtls, are expected to be completed this year.The project began in 2009, after Superior Walls of the Hudson Valley (SWHV) was awarded the contract to install the foundations for the housing units at West Point, NY. The units, all built with crawl space foundations, would be in need of access wells. Thus, SWHV selected the Turtl, a product of Basement Systems, Inc., as the crawl space door and entry system. This year, SWHV will be installing the last of the foundations and Turtls; which are essential for accessing storage and the mechanical closets typically found in crawl spaces.
