Comment: Hi there, my fiancé and I are in the process of purchasing an older home in blackfalds, however the home inspection yesterday revealed that there are 2 basement windows that are currently at ground level, and will need to have window wells dug out and installed. I was hoping you could give me an estimate of how much this job will cost? The windows are approximately 3 feet across each. Please let me know, as we must negotiate with the sellers about who will cover this cost by tomorrow morning. Thank you so much for your help.

Comment: Moderate amount of seepage in one area of the basement - wet carpet and baseboard. Carpet has been pulled back and baseboard removed now. Seems to be some mildew or mold behind where the baseboard was - possibly mostly due to capillary action. Water possibly due to hydrostatic pressure or ground water rising; no sign of significant breach in foundation. Mildewy drywall and materials need to be removed and areas treated/disinfect. Wall Needs to be explored behind area for more damage. Subfloor possibly needs to be installed.

Comment: Moisture in basement after rain

Comment: Water in basement after last torrential downpour. I have two floor drains in my basement - on opposite sides of the basement. One seems like it isn't tied into anything you can see your screened bed rock 8" down or so. At this drain the concrete looks like it had been cut out as there is a 12" wide cut that extends out to the outside wall. I believe this is where the water came up. Would it be possible that this drain is tied into the weeping tile and comes into the house, and where this drain is I think they were going to install a sump pump but never did. So overall I think I want to add a sump pump, but obviously want to do it right!!! What is the price of the super sump system?
