Our house is over 100 years old (some background info-the previous owner over 50 years ago lifted the house but didn't hire proper contractors, as it didn't originally have a basement, so house is not at all level or not sure what kind of prep work done back then) and when it rains heavily or the wind blows a certain way, or snow and rain, the basement leaks. We thought a sump pump might help, but we've had a plumber in and he said that a sump pump wouldn't necessarily help and may cause leaking in another spot. So now we're totally unsure of what to do. If we could get an estimate that would be most appreciated or if someone needs to come to look at it before, that would be ok too.

We have water seepage through the basement foundation wall and floor, especially when heavy rain. It is the East wall (front of house) that butts up against the soil and is above the water level. We would like someone to look at the issue and give an estimate to waterproof it. thanks, Rita

Basement has been very musty. No water visible but suspect foundation wall where it meets the floor is a problem. Neighbour downspout causes a lot of water on my side. Asked 4 x to redirect away from our side walkways. They haven't done it. So when it rains hard a lot water rushes by. I took a video. Also I am smelly musty smell in my upstairs bathroom where the a washing machine is. Perhaps this is a hose issue. Will call a plumber. In the basement I have a dehyumidifier and is constantly going filling up at least 4 buckets a day. Definitely need immediate help here. Can't live like this. I have to war a n95 mask just to down in basement.
