Comment: I have two sump pumps that run continuously due to high water tables. I'm assuming it's not a spring leak since they are dry through the summer and fall. One of the pumps is extremely loud and bangs when it stops. I think it's doe to air in the pipes and a long discharge distance. Also neither pump is sealed with a cover. The basins are actually garbage cans not sump pump basins. They were there when I bought the house. I will probably need to replace the basins for a cover to fit properly. I also have water coming up from th edges of the basesment floor in 2 areas. Radon levels were also higher than desired when I got the house inspection. Probably because the pumps are not covered. I want to know th beat solution for all of these issues.
