Latham, NY 12110We have an old sump pump system that leaks ridiculously at the spout where it gets pushed out of the foundation, essentially a complete mess that barely works. Paired with a very old dehumidifier that sends the accrued water into that sump pump so it gets sprayed all over the place and taken back into the dehumidifier. We have regraded our house so the overall problem has improved, but would like to stop having water spew all over and would like a sustainable solution in the basement. We need to insulate where the floor joints meet the foundation but are holding off for fear of trapping moisture into the basement even more.
