Flooded basement: Once your basement gets flooded, you want to get to the root of the problem and get it fixed ASAP. South Dakota summers bring frequent, sometimes severe, thunderstorms and other forms of precipitation, such as blizzards and ice storms, occur often during winter. When torrential downpours seep into your house, they often force their way into the house foundation, and then make its way into the basement.
Other reasons for wet basements: There are many possible sources for pooling water, damp basement walls or flooring, and high humidity. These include: rusty basement windows, poor grading around the foundation, leaks through cracks in the foundation, saturated soils, simple plumbing failures, and poorly functioning drainage or sump pump systems. A basement already musty and damp is ill-prepared for the next bad rainstorm! Basement waterproofing can address the underlying issues, prevent future water damage and improve the indoor air quality.

Project Location: Rosewood Dr, Harrisburg, SD 57032
Comment: We recently moved into this home. Our sump pump works well, but runs extremely frequently. During a recent rainstorm it ran every 30 seconds, and even on completely dry days runs every 2-7 minutes. I am curious if there are other options to improve the drainage around my house and decrease the water flow into the sump system.

Comment: Our one home is 100 years old - 1920 - the basement walls are poured cement and when we put up false walls in the basement 1990, the walls were a little crumbly then, that's the last time i saw them. In the last few years we have had a lot of problems with water in the basement, coming up through the cracks in the cement floor and coming in the north and south sides of the house - up to about 6 - 8 inches into the basement (it's been wet in Elkton) - we need to do some repairs but we are concerned that the basement walls may have issues. Could you give us an estimate about basement repairs

Comment: Last fall when we got all that rain the south side of our basement was saturated such that when stepping onto affected areas water would pool around your feet. This evening, it rained far less but was very windy and the north side of our basement experienced a similar, but less extreme issue. I don't know if I have drain tile installed, but the walls were never wet either time so I don't think the window wells are a concern. I really just want someone who knows about this type of thing to help me.

Comment: I got water coming in a little on a few walls near the footer part of my basement. I was looking at your above ground system you have. Not looking to spend alot. I just want the water to be routed to the sump pump that leaks in only from a heavy rain.
