Brandon grew up doing construction and renovations with his family’s business. He has more than five years of rough framing experience and concrete experience as well as over five years in waterproofing and using Basement Systems products. With this plethora of experience and having a builders license it was an easy decision to bring him onto the HomeSpec team.

 

He enjoys working at HomeSpec because of the high-quality products that we install. He also appreciates that there are never-ending opportunities to learn and grow. One of his biggest strengths is his communication with the homeowners. Brandon will communicate with the homeowner from start to finish, to ensure that when the job is completed they are fully satisfied. His free time is spent traveling, kayaking, hiking, bowling, and learning new things.

After removing the original concrete frame and debris, the ground surrounding the window was dug out to create a space. The SunHouse™ Window Well was then fitted and secured around the basement window. When working with dirt, things are bound to be messy but only temporarily.
TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe is a great solution when water is anticipated on the floor in specific locations. It connects with the rest of the interior drainage system so water never sits in one spot for long. The entire system is protected with concrete that is level with the rest of the floors so there are no tripping hazards.
An interior drainage system, IDS, was installed to address the water intrusion issues. First, a trench was dug along the perimeter so the french drains could fit evenly beneath the floor. Then, the drains were covered with stones to prevent them from clogging with debris. A layer of plastic would then be layered on top of the stones to prevent new concrete from seeping through to the drains.
Everlast Wall Restoration System was secured over the dry concrete. This waterproof material makes for a dry space and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Once the Flo Well and discharge line are properly installed, they are buried in the yard which not only protects them but reclaims the freedom to use your yard as you wish.
