Comment: We want a sump pump battery back up system, one of the ones that has at least two batteries and that also assists the regular sump pump, as needed, even when there is not an electrical outage. We have an electrician (Coleman) who will install a dedicated electrical circuit for this device. Currently we have a mostly finished basement with a French drain (installed before we bough our house). The sump pump has worked okay since we bought the house (single family) in 2009 but we are worried about hurricane season. Someone told us that our existing sump may not be big enough for a back up system and that we may need a second sump. The floor is concrete. We want the best possible work done and the best products used.

Comment: Hi - I'm interested in the IceGuard fitting that goes on a sump pump discharge line and allows water to keep flowing if the line freezes up. Could you let me know what size pipes it accommodates, and what the pricing would be for one unit? Many thanks!

Comment: Our Condo in Cambridge recently had some flooding in the basement - bedroom/bathroom. How do we go about checking to be sure there isn't still moisture lurking somewhere that will eventually give us a mold problem?

Comment: This is a two family house built in approximately 1900. The walls are poured concrete and you can see stone where the foundation has powdered and crumbled. There are piles of powder forming on the floor for many years. What would be the most reasonable and economical way to repair this problem as we are considering selling the property and in any event do not wish to leave this problem for our children to solve
