We also added drainage matting under the liner to prevent seepage and make the space more durable.

Before sealing everything up, we gave the crawl space a thorough cleaning, wiping down ducts, removing debris, and disposing of the old vapor barrier. To maintain a healthy environment, we installed a dehumidifier and air purifier to control humidity and improve air quality. Finally, we added vent covers to block outside moisture. Now, the homeowner has a clean, dry, and energy-efficient crawl space—free from musty odors and moisture worries!

This project focused on cleaning up the crawl space and helping protect it from unwanted pests. We started by wiping down the heating ducts and sewer lines, removing spider webs, and clearing loose debris from the floor to leave the area cleaner and easier to maintain.

We then installed protective wire mesh around any existing or potential rodent entry points. This creates a physical barrier that helps prevent rodents from finding their way back into the crawl space.

The result is a cleaner, more secure crawl space with added protection against future rodent activity.
