Had not been flooded prior, even though we have had an excessive amount of rain
We have a sump pump in the laundry room that is encased in a concrete trough. It is full to the brim and the water in the sump pump is blue from the water draining from the washing machine.
We tried bucketing out a lot of the water but it would just keep filling up
Also, there is water all over the basement floor that is not blue - it is clear. A good half of the basement is flooded. At this point we don't think it's coming from the sump pump not working because of the difference in color.
It is flooded in the workshop, the laundry room, part of the storage room and a good part of the family room downstairs.
The house relies on well water and I don't know if it's a possibility that the underground well has become overfilled and is possibly oversaturating the house
