This homeowner in Stockbridge, MA called us hoping we would be able to help him with his home. He wanted the attic insulation removed and replaced. The home used to be a store, and he was unsure what was in the attic. When our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home, he spoke to the homeowner about his comfort concerns. Among other things, the homeowner mentioned that the home was very energy inefficient. Additionally, he had a bad ice damming problem every winter, and with winter on the horizon, he wanted to eliminate that possibility. 

We had the perfect solution for this customer. We were able to replace the attic insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. We started by removing the batt insulation, putting it in large bags. We then went in and air-sealed around all of the points where air leaks up from the home to the attic. We did this using our Zypfoam™ spray foam. Once the atitc is air sealed, we used a long hose to blow in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. TruSoft™ is amazing -- it does not burn, get moldy, or attract pests. The blown-in insulation fills all gaps and oddly shaped voids. The homeowner is now much more comfortable in his home! 

A business owner from Lenox, Ma called us to soundproof interior walls at his bed and breakfast. His customers were complaining about noise between rooms. We sent out our building science specialist to evaluate the situation. The solution was to pack the walls with our Trusoft Cellulose product. It's a great insulator and one of the best soundproofing products on the market. In this example, we drilled through the attic to get to the inside walls and simply dense packed them. Then, we plugged the holes up to ensure total soundproofing.

The business owner is completely satisfied with the work and has not received another complaint about the noise.

We removed the old door and installed proper framing. We then hung the new energy efficient door with weather stripping and sealed any spots where air could leak in.

This homeowner in Lenox, MA called us to their home because they were experiencing water and moisture in their crawlspace. This home had a nasty, dirt crawlspace which most people assume does not effect your home's comfort and energy efficiency as much as it does! We got right to work.

We removed all of the old, nasty insulation any debris in the crawlspace. Now, we install our dimpled plastic drainage matting across the floor to create an airspace and thermal break. TerraBlock™ floor insulation is installed over the dimpled drainage mat. Finally, the heavy-duty, 20 mil thick CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation liner is installed permanently across the dirt floor - sealed with mechanical fasteners to the walls and spiked to the floor. This will keep water and moisture out of the crawlspace, and make this home more comfortable and energy efficient!
