This homeowner in Chicopee, MA was having issues with drafts in their home that they were looking to fix. Old metal framed, single pane windows allow the heat from inside the home escape both through the glass and the thermally conductive metal. A lot of air is also able to leak into the home.
We removed the old windows and installed our Everlast high efficiency vinyl window inserts. The windows feature two panes of high efficiency glass that allows light in without letting heat to escape. The vinyl will not rust, rot or need paint, making it perfect for the damp environment outside of the window.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this house will no longer have drafts coming up into the home!
This homeowner in Chicopee, MA called us looking to finish his basement. He wanted to completely finish it, including a full bathroom, playroom, and a wet bar. Our Home Comfort Specialist came out to his home to evaluate the basement. When he got there, he noted that the basement was insulated using inefficient fiberglass batts. This caused drafts and high energy bills. The basement needed the insulation replaced before it could be finished, as it would be much harder to do this after it was finished.
We had the perfect solution for this customer! We utilized two-part expanding spray foam. We insulated the rim joist (the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the home). We spray this foam in the rim joist and over the sill plate. Insulating the rim joist in this way seals all air leaks -- filling in the cracks and gaps that are present there. This prevents outside air from getting into the home. The homeowner is now very happy, and he can now work toward finishing his basement!
This homeowner in Chicopee, MA called us looking for insulation for her basement ceiling. She had lived in the home since it was built in the 1960s, and knew that it needed new insulation. The previous insulation -- fiberglass in her rim joist -- was simply not working anymore. Our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home and recommended insulating the rim joist.

This homeowner wanted to reduce heat loss in his basement. Single pane glass windows with metal frames let lots of cold air leak into the basement. They also allow heat to escape by conduction through the cold glass. Our Team installed our Everlast sliding basement windows with double pane glass. These windows have a special metallic "Low E" coating on the inside to reduce heat flow through the glass. The new windows look great and will reduce overall air leakage in the home.
This homeowner in Chicopee, MA called us hoping to get more insulation due to his high energy costs. He also had family members living in the basement that he suspected was poorly insulated. When our Home Comfort Specialist arrived at the home, she noticed that the basement had no insulation in it. This explains the fact that the floors upstairs would be very warm or very cold, depending on the season.
We were able to help this customer out by insulating his basement. We specifically insulated the rim joist. That is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the house. We sprayed this rim joist with two-part expanding spray foam. This seals all air leaks in the rim joist from the outside and insulates this area of the home. It seals all of the cracks, gaps, and joints where air from the outside was entering the home.
Now, this home will be temperature controlled and safe for years to come!
