Gary was having issues with water coming into his basement, but wasn’t sure where it was coming from. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have is issue inspected. During inspection, Wes Glasgow, design specialist, came to the conclusion that water was seeping in from the old foundation walls, and suggested the installation of CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a thick liner that provides a sturdy moisture barrier between the wall and rest of the basement. CleanSpace also acts as a water track, directing the moisture to Gary’s waterproofing system.

The homeowner of this crawl space in Cedar Falls wanted to seal the space accordingly. Wanting to make the space dryer and warmer he called the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems. To keep the crawl space dry, the team encapsulated the space with thick and durable CleanSpace liner. To keep air from entering and exiting the vents, the team installed vent covers. To make sure that water will not pool in case of a leak, SmartDrain was fitted into the space. To insulate the space -keeping it warm and saving the homeowner lots on utility bills- the team lined the crawl space with SilverGlo panels.
