A crawlspace in Smithboro, Illinois, had some exceedingly high humidity that needed to be addressed. This humidity was seeping up into the home, causing issues with mold and negatively effecting the homeowner's utility bill. The homeowners had previously installed a barrier some years before, so the only install to be made was a new dehumidifier to contain the high humidity. The dehumidifier that was installed is called the SaniDry Sedona. It is specifically designed operate in crawlspaces and other areas with similar humidity levels. With this dehumidifier in place, conditions in this crawlspace are guaranteed to be dryer.

This Mechanicsburg, IL crawlspace was filled with rocks and dirt, and not to mention causing the floors of the home to be cold. It also had mold. A CleanSpace liner was installed to help reduce moisture and humidity, which can cause mold spores. The liner is easy to clean and will also help maintain temperature control throughout the home. CleanSpace will also convert the once dirty crawlspace into a clean new storage space.

Rodney C., Nokomis, Illinois homeowner, was troubled by the mold over taking his crawlspace. The mold was a health and safety concern for his home. System design specialist John S. designed a solution to keep the crawlspace dry and mold free.

Foreman Josh B. installed the CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that prevents water from entering the basement. Because it is inorganic, it does not support mold growth. In addition to CleanSpace, the SaniDry dehumidfier was installed.

Rodney is thrilled to know is home is now safe and healthy. He no longer has concerns of mold overtaking his craswlspace.
