Comment: Hello, recently I was smelling something musty in my basement but couldn't find the issue. Then two days ago, I stepped on a wet spot on the floor (carpet). The finished walls were not wet to the touch and the sump pump area was dry, but there was an area of the floor (about 2 ft x 8 ft) that was wet. Then yesterday after the heavy rain, the area jumped to about 5 ft x 15 ft soaking wet.
