In 2017, our trusted team visited a home in Bagdad, KY, for a foundation check, and honesty led us to reassure the homeowner their foundation was stable, saving them from unnecessary work. By 2024, their priority shifted to a chilly crawl space. As seen in the photo, we transformed this vital but overlooked space from cold and uninviting to a warm, energy-efficient area using our CleanSpace encapsulation, SilverGlow insulation, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. In Albany, KY, the homeowner faced significant issues with excessive moisture in their crawl space, as seen in the before photo. The homeowner had a basic, uncovered crawl space access point that was not only an eyesore but also a vulnerability. The open entry allowed moisture, pests, and debris to enter freely, contributing to potential mold growth and energy inefficiency. Additionally, the lack of a proper access well made entry into the crawl space cumbersome and potentially hazardous.

To address these issues, we installed the EverLast™ Access Well, a durable, heavy-gauge polyethylene structure that provides a clean and secure entryway. Its 48-inch width ensures ample space for access, and its stackable design allows for customization to the desired depth. Complementing this, we fitted an EverLast™ Crawl Space Door, constructed from ½-inch-thick PVC plastic, known for its resistance to warping, cracking, and maintenance-free longevity. The door's airtight and waterproof seal effectively blocks external elements, enhancing the home's energy efficiency and protecting the crawl space from moisture and pests.

This crawlspace had some big rocks in it, but fear not, The Basement Doctor can navigate. CleanSpace matting is flexible enough for any obstruction, and will still block out all negativity.

We encapsulated this dark, pea-gravel crawl space in Junction City, KY, with a CleanSpace vapor barrier to reduce humidity and create a cleaner, brighter environment. The homeowner already had a ventilation system in place, so no dehumidifier was needed. We also installed SilverGlo insulation panels along the walls (concealed behind the barrier) and sealed the rim joists with spray foam for added efficiency. The result was a happy homeowner.
