Waterproofing and Concrete Repair for Home in Saint Clair Shores, MI

A homeowner in Saint Clair Shores, MI, had water leaking into their unfinished basement, as well as cracked and uneven concrete. They intend to sell the home in the next few years and want to ensure that the house will be ready. They decided to give HomeSpec a call for help. HomeSpec's project manager, Bill, inspected the homeowner's property and confirmed the water leakage and the cracked and uneven concrete. Bill proposed that HomeSpec use NexusPro Crack Repair for their driveway to provide the concrete with long-lasting flexibility, accompanied by SealantPro to help protect it from harsh weather. For the homeowner's basement, Bill proposed the SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump system to help keep the basement dry and healthy, along with an Interior Drainage System to help drain water outside of the home. The homeowner accepted the proposal, and a team from HomeSpec, led by Brian, Fred, and Domonique, got to work. Bowing, Cracked, Damp Foundation Walls Repaired in Beverly Hills, MI

Paul and Maryjo in Beverly Hills, Michigan contacted HomeSpec to repair their heavily damaged basement walls. The concrete block walls walls were cracked, broken and bowing – and even leaking water into the basement. To address these issues, foreman Vernon Bryan and his crew needed to stabilize the walls. They excavated the walls, pushed them back into place, and then waterproofed the exterior of the foundation. On the interior, the PowerBrace Wall Repair System was installed to stabilize the walls and prevent further movement. The cracks were all filled and sealed as well. Foundation issues are very serious and will only worsen over time if not properly repaired. These homeowners waited a long time before finally calling a professional to solve the issues, and they were glad they ultimately did!

Dearborn, MI - Waterproofing Company Transforms Basement

A homeowner in Dearborn, MI noticed that water was getting into the basement during heavy rains. The homeowner wanted to prevent any further water intrusion from occurring year-round and called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to see what options were available. HomeSpec’s senior project manager, Keith, visited the home for an inspection. After looking both inside and outside of the home and speaking with the homeowner, Keith made some recommendations. This home was built using a block foundation and had tile flooring on top of concrete. To waterproof this type of space thoroughly, it is important to protect both the walls and the floor. The homeowner approved of the recommended products and a crew, led by foreman Vernon, was scheduled to install them.
As with many waterproofing jobs, HomeSpec used an interior drainage system comprised of WaterGuard® and a Sump Pump. To take this a step further, this homeowner utilized a sump discharge with freeze prevention. These elements protect the floor, while CleanSpace® protects the walls. Not only does it control leaking water, but it also provides a clean aesthetic for any basement or crawl space. Fowlerville, MI Home Gets New Sump Pump and Other Basement Repairs

A homeowner in Fowlerville, MI discovered that the waterproofing system in their basement had failed and was not installed correctly. Because of these errors, water was beginning to enter the basement in multiple places. One of their biggest concerns was that the home would lose value due to water damage. They were eager to find a solution, so they called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair. HomeSpec sent one of their senior project managers, Ted, to conduct a free inspection. He thoroughly inspected the home and discovered more issues than the old waterproofing system. There were also structural concerns and unique soil conditions. The homeowner agreed to all of HomeSpec’s recommendations and the crews we scheduled for installations and repairs. The crews were led by foremen Brandon and Marshall.
An interior drainage system was installed with some adjustments due to the presence of iron algae. The IDS was then connected to a TripleSafe™ sump pump and sump discharge. The homeowner was very pleased with the results and the HomeSpec team because they took the time to explain what was being done and why.
