In Kosciusko, MS, we were called by a homeowner who cherished their vintage house yet faced a daunting issue. The antique structure, known for its character, was showing its age through failing columns that needed additional support. The uneven floors and sagging joists were not just cosmetic problems but potential threats to the home's structural integrity. Our proven process kicked off smoothly. The homeowner spoke with one of our dedicated Customer Care Specialists, who promptly scheduled an inspection. Our expert System Design Specialist arrived at the site, conducting a thorough evaluation to understand the extent of the problem. The inspection revealed that the traditional supports in the crawl space weren't tackling the challenging soil and load conditions well enough. Our team swung into action with our effective SmartJack® solution. This system is specifically designed to enhance crawl space stability. First, we prepared a solid base using engineered fill to ensure weight was evenly distributed. We then cut galvanized steel columns to precise lengths, positioning them perfectly over 12-inch steel bases. They were firmly secured to the existing or new girders through robust adjustable brackets. The heavy-duty threaded rods provided us with the ability to make fine adjustments, raising the floors toward their original elevation and effectively reducing any unwanted floor bounce. Once the installation was complete, floors regained stability that seemed long lost, restoring the homeowner's peace of mind. Our team carefully cleaned up the area, leaving the home every bit as tidy as we found it. With the new support system in place, the home in Kosciusko no longer stood threatened but was secured by a durable solution aimed at lasting protection. The satisfied homeowner could once again take pride in their treasured piece of history, with the reassurance brought about by long-lasting results.
This stone foundation home in Magee was having many moisture issues with their crawlspace that were causing the floors in the home to buckle and sag. MidSouth Crawlspace Solution's CleanSpace Encapsulation and Dehumidification system will keep that from happening again!
This customer was not even able to use their dining room because their floors were sinking so bad due to excessive moisture in their crawlspace. We were able to assist this customer in finding a good contractor to replace their floors. Once they were completed we came in with an encapsulation system to reduce moisture to ensure they never have this problem again!
Our CleanSpace Liner makes a huge difference for the underside of homes! As you can see, the previous liner was in rough condition and allowing moisture and mold to thrive, downsides that do not exist when the CleanSpace Liner is in your crawl space!
These homeowners reached out to us and explained their exciting plans to remodel their home soon, but they knew something was off with their home. The home is on a conventional foundation, but the floors had some unusual sloping they couldn't ignore. We sent one of our design specialists, Corey, out and had him take a look at the entire underside of the home to finalize the cause. We've seen it many, many times, and once again it looked like a humid crawl space was affecting the above floor joists. It also wasn't helping that these weak joists had not as much support as they obviously needed. We wanted all their remodeling work to go toward a safe and secure home, so we recommended them our encapsulation system, paired with the support of our SmartJack system. The white liner you see is our durable CleanSpace Liner that acts as a barrier against ground and outside moisture. The dehumidifier is designed with crawl spaces in mind and automatically maintains the humidity as a safe percentage. The installed sump pump will keep any collected water seepage and send it away from the crawl space. These are the main components of the encapsulation system. Lastly we installed the Smart Jacks, a permanent form of stabilization for the weaker areas of the crawl space. Starting remodeling projects can be an endeavor filled with uncertainty, but we ensured that for this homeowner, a reliable and secured crawlspace was one certain thing they could count upon!
