With their home about to be sold, this homeowner wanted to give the new owners the confidence of a clean, healthy crawl space before closing. Daniel Hays and his team completed a full encapsulation, mold treatment, drainage, insulation, a sump pump, and dehumidification system to eliminate moisture concerns and protect the home for year to come. The result is a dry, healthy crawl space that gave both the sellers and buyers great peace of mind.
This crawlspace was holding moisture, causing a mildew smell inside the home. Our crew cleaned out the debris and installed our full encapsulation system. We also sealed off all the vents to keep the outside air, outside. Our sump pump and dehumidifier will keep it dry, clearing out the musty smell. This is the only way to truly rid your crawlspace of smells and moisture.
This Columbus Mississippi crawlspace had sagging joists that were starting to cause issues inside the home. It also was holding water. As we know, crawlspaces and moisture go together like Mexican food and tight jeans and NO ONE wants that.
Our production crew was able to come in and stabilize the joists with our SmartJack support posts. These steel posts are adjustable and can be adjusted over time as needed. This makes them an ideal choice as houses are constantly shifting through the years. This is a quick install and in many cases, homes can be restored to their original positions.
We also encapsulated the crawlspace because so much moisture was being brought in and staying. Our team sealed off the vents, installed our CleanSpace Liner and encapsulation system.
Notice in the 'before' photo, the crawl space in this Richton, MS home had no moisture protection and sagging subfloors, a concerning problem. In the 'after' photo, see the transformation. Using our CleanSpace encapsulation system paired with Drainage Matting, TripleSafe Sump Pump, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, we improved moisture control and air quality. We even corrected structural issues with our SmartJack system. Evident in the results, detailed solutions highlight our expertise, reinforcing the crawl space for a more stable and healthy home.
There once was an attempt made by these homeowners to do something about the moisture problem under their home. Many people will recommend just a standard crawl space vapor barrier, a sheet of plastic laid on the floor of the crawl space to supposedly prevent the entry of any moisture. Since they ended up reaching out to us anyways, this solution clearly did not work for these homeowners! As you can see in the before image, this thin barrier ended up tossed around the crawl space, dirty, torn, and full of exposed areas for moisture to still make its way into the underside of the home. They needed a more permanent solution, and luckily we were able to provide just that! The new barrier you see in the after image is our CleanSpace Liner. It is much thicker, more durable, and securely fastened throughout the entire crawlspace, walls and supports included! Underneath is a dimple pattern, which helps lead water to the products that combine with our CleanSpace Liner, such as our sump pump system. This sump pump, the liner, and our crawl space dehumidifier come together to create the encapsulation system, an unbeatable defense against all forms of moisture. This shield against seepage, intrusion, and humidity is something you simply cannot get from a standard vapor barrier.
