Testimonials for Quality 1st Basement Systems

My first contact was with a salesperson. He had worked previously in the construction industry and from that work, had a lot of experience to draw on when evaluating my basement issues and recommending the proper solution. Throughout the entire process, he was available to answer my questions and address all of my concerns. The work was started on the day it was scheduled and the crew arrived every day, on time. They worked continuously throughout the day, only taking a short break for lunch. Each of the three-man crew was very polite and very competent. The foreman was very knowledgeable, addressing questions and concerns in a very professional and polite manner. I did have an issue with where I had originally chosen to place the sump pump. I worked with them and the project foreman to get the pump relocation without any problems or concerns. I would highly recommend this company for any basement related work. I had checked three other companies and this company was far ahead of the rest. In my case, one the most attractive features was the wall restoration option this company offered. Other companies put in a drainage system and you were on your own getting the walls restored. This company offers a very good wall restoration option that is ready to paint. And before the wall goes up, an insulated moisture block material is put in place. With regards to the drainage system this company uses, its quality is far superior to other companies solutions. All of the other companies I checked with, just installed a generic round black drain pipe with holes on the top. This company's system collects and drains water in a much more efficient method. All in all, with regards to materials and workmanship, I would give this company an A+ rating. I will warn anyone having this work done to expect a fair amount of construction dust being generated during the process, so cover everything as best as possible.

My house is located in a wet area and I always have water coming into my crawlspace, even if it hasn't rained in several weeks. The moisture issues are compounded by the presence of iron ocher, which would cause the trench drain and sump pit in my crawlspace to clog and overflow unless I crawled back into it and treated it with bleach/chlorine every week. Basement Systems suggested a plan to install a new drainage system and relocate my sump to an area that would be much easier to access and maintain. They upgraded the existing sump pump to a triple safe system with three pumps (including a battery backup!) so I have multiple redundancies in place to prevent flooding. They also wrapped my crawlspace with a heavy duty vapor barrier to keep all of that moisture from permeating up through my house. I couldn't have been happier with the crew, and my wife had no qualms about having them in our house while I was away at work. They called me several times to communicate their schedule, and took care to protect the flooring on the main level of my house. He was more than willing to work with me to route the sump discharge pipes in the area I wanted them. He and his crew worked very hard and put in extra hours to have the job completed on schedule in two days even though they ran into several unexpected issues. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew, and the integrity of the company, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Basement Systems to anyone.

Really impressed! I can see and smell the difference already. No water at all, and the smell is fast improving. Everyone was professional which is super important to me. The crew was quick and clean. Did a nice job cleaning up considering the kind of work involved. I can now finish my awesome basement/family room with peace of mind! Anyone thinking of investing money into a basement finish or remodel do yourself a favor and protect your investment with a proven system, like the one these guys offer.

The crew were professional,courteous they showed the progress as they were completeing the work .All in all I would hire that crew again. They cleaned up ever day they worked. The salesman was willing to give me a day to make my decision, the office personal was also friendly and courteous and the prompt service with your company was appreciated. From day One (appraisal). I felt that this was the company. I had a few estimates, but they were not as professional as this Company (Basement Systems). The contract was all in a diagram and broken down. Not a hand written piece of carbon paper. The workers arrived for a two day job. These guys were professional animals. NON STOP working. Even at lunch time they took individual short breaks. Always two Working! Mostly all 3 working. I am extremely impressed and satisfied with this somewhat complicated installation. Concrete chiseled/jack hammered out for both sump pumps (non existed). Everything cleaned up and disposed! (SIDE NOTE) If having this work done, when they tell you it will be "Dusty", believe me they are correct! I hung plastic to block off other half of basement, that did help allot! They arrived on time, stayed late and never really took a "break". Work Animals! The Foreman of the job, stopped what he was doing to answer any and all questions I had and explained in detail what he was doing and why! Good People! Great Company!  

Thanks to your company, our basement is now equipped to handle all water and ready to party!
