Before: The homeowner in Selkirk, NY, struggled with an outdated sump pump that couldn’t keep up during heavy rainstorms, leaving the basement vulnerable to water intrusion and potential flooding. The system lacked proper backup support and efficiency, causing concerns about long-term water management.
After: We upgraded their system with a state-of-the-art TripleSafe™ Sump Pump, featuring three pumps for optimal performance and a battery backup to ensure protection even during power outages. The new system provides reliable, efficient water removal, keeping the basement dry and giving the homeowner peace of mind, no matter the weather.
The heart of every waterproofing system is the sump pump. If the pump isn’t in good condition, then the effectiveness of the rest of the system diminishes greatly. Many old, dated pumps are unable to handle lots of water, have no failsafe in place, and are left uncovered, meaning dust, dirt, and other substances can get in and plug the pump—plus the smell isn’t the best. Our TripleSafe is a top of the line product that outshines every other sump system on the market. With its tri-pump system that automatically adjusts based on the amount of water coming in, the TripleSafe is very powerful. With its backup battery and IceGuard, it also is a product you can rely on even during freezing weather and power outages. And, as an added bonus, installation is easy because it can go right where the pre-existing sump is located.
This homeowner reached out to us after finding humidity had caused the insulation to get saturated and mold began to grow. After discussing with the homeowner, Jon designed a encapsulation system that dramatically reduced the humidity and provided a dehumidifying filtration system that prevented mold and reduced odors.
This homeowner was having difficulty with their basement’s humidity. There are many fixes and improvements that can be done to alleviate this issue; the products that our Design Specialist determined best for this job in particular were a SaniDry Sedona and an EverLast window. Focusing on the EverLast window, this product is a perfect upgrade, providing great insulation to keep water out and heat in—all while being maintenance-free, so no sanding, reglazing, or repainting is needed. The installation process for this job involved taking careful measurements of the opening because each window is custom-made for the specific spot. Once that is complete and the window has arrived, our installation team carefully removed the old, rotting window and cleaned up any leftover debris. Then, the new EverLast is put in and sealed up perfectly to not allow anything in or out! Humidity is now a thing of the past with the help of an EverLast window!
Our EverLast basement windows are energy efficient and look great! The frames are made of an inorganic vinyl to replace your old rotting or rusting basement windows. They are easily removed to be maintenanced or cleaned and never need to be painted.
