Homeowners in Voorheesville, NY had a crawlspace beneath their home that caused the upstairs area to be much cooler than it should have been. It lacked proper insulation and was damp, due to water seeping through the seams of the foundation. Since this home was newly purchased, they decided it would be most ideal to rectify these issues as soon as possible. They contacted Adirondack Basement Systems for a free estimate with one of our Crawlspace specialists. Upon doing a thorough inspection, he recommended installing both a vapor barrier and a thermal barrier along the blocked walls of the crawlspace as well as sprayfoam in the joists. CleanSpace vapor barrier is made of an inorganic material which cannot support mold growth and is warrantied against rips and tears. ThermalDry Wall is a thermal barrier made with SilverGlo technology. The reflective material keeps heat from escaping and cold air from coming through.
