Comment: My house is 100 years old. I am not even sure we have a footer. The basement floor appears to be only about 2 inches thick and has been patched to make hills in some areas. I also have a walk out door that is no longer used but water runs in and under the door causing a river. Water also seeps through the walls and up through the floors. The walls are mainly stone with some block. The house smells of mildew and both me and my dog have constantly running noses and eyes.

Comment: Odor. horrible, nauseating odor. the builder says it is the slag from the construction of the utilities around the house. it smells like sewer to me. are these fumes even safe to be breathing? the check valve "klunk" is also annoying as our pump tends to run about once every 2-7 minutes. 2 if it rains and 7 a couple days after it stops.
