When it comes to keeping the basement dry, a sump pump is the first line of defense. However, not all pumps are built the same and a sump pump failure can be disastrous. We know you need a sump pump you can rely on. That’s why Basement Systems’ sump pump systems are built with high-quality, cast-iron Zoeller pumps.
While sump pumps can take care of the water in your basement, the water itself isn’t the only problem. Moisture is another major problem in basements. High humidity levels lead to a wide range of problems, including mold, discomfort, and worsened allergies and asthma. Basement Systems offers a high-performance solution that can make your whole home drier and healthier.

Project Location: Woodpark Drive, Stow, 44224
Comment: The house is a split level and there is a void under the "upper" basement slab. The void is visible from the true underground basement through an opening in the concrete block wall that faces it. The void is likely caused by the backfill at the footer not being compacted. The area is approximately 14' x 8' of varying depth. It cannot be accessed except through holes. The house was built in 1971. At spring and fall, the area exudes a strong musty odor. I'm looking for ideas to eliminate the odor.
