Damp Crawlspace Upgrade in Hillsboro, Oregon

This customer was referred to us by a local company because when their tech went to make repairs under the home it was so damp and a strong musty smell. Our crews went in and cleaned out the crawlspace and cleaned the mold. We installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier that is a 20 mil thick woven fiber plastic. We use this to completely seal the crawlspace to keep unwanted pests, moisture, and other alignments out. The customer was so happy to see how clean it was and that she won’t have to worry about mold in the crawlspace again.

Falling Fiber Glass Insulation - Hillsboro, OR

Underneath this home the fiber glass in their crawlspace was torn apart and the old vapor barrier had been compromised by water vapor causing piles of dirt and debris to pile right on top of it. This naturally opens up the space for mold and creates unsafe air quality in the home. To help this customer, we installed a full encapsulation system which made the crawlspace much brighter, easier to maintain, and helps the air quality in the home become fresh and healthy.

A Mess of a Crawl Space - Hillsboro, OR

This crawl space was a mess. From caked on mud to falling fiberglass, it needed repairs. For a long-term solution, this homeowner was ready for a full encapsulation!

Rotting Posts in Crawlspace - Hillsboro, OR

Creaking floors and sagging had been a headache for this homeowner for some time. She wasn't sure how to fix it or why it was happening. She gave us a call for a free inspection and what we found was water in her crawlspace. The water had caused some of her posts to rot and were deteriorating. Our crew went in and removed the rotting posts and installed our SmartJack posts. They are made of stainless steel so it cannot be rusted, rotted, and are adjustable. The homeowner saw an immediate difference once the floor was level.

Strips of Old Fiberglass Hold onto Moisture - Hillsboro, OR

This interior entrance to the crawlspace had fiberglass insulation strapped to it to try to provide insulation. But after absorbing moisture from the crawlspace, it had been tied up repeatedly so it wouldn't droop to the floor below. This was allowing mold spores to grow on this entrance door. A full encapsulation removes the need for any fiberglass and uses insulation made to last!
