This homeowners crawlspace had a humidity issue. Because of this water would be absorbed into the fiberglass insulation and mold spores would grow. The homeowners needed to change out the fiberglass and treat the mold every few years to keep on top of it. The were done with the constant upkeep and after searching online, decided to call up John's Waterproofing for an encapsulation. 

 This homeowner called to tell us he wanted his crawlspace looked at because it is dirty. When he saw the photos of water in the crawlspace that our inspector showed him, he decided it was time to get it taken care of once and for all. Our team removed the water, the damaged vapor barrier, and the falling insulation. After getting the space clean we sealed the crawlspace with our patented Clean Space material and the home owner was amazed at the transformation. 

This home looked amazing, but the crawlspace was a dark wet and unhealthy space. Our crews transformed the space into a beautiful and usable space.

First, our crew removes all of the old debris from the space, wiping the slate clean to begin installation of the PPP components. After the space is clean, our crew installs 3" Perforated Piping around the interior of the space, to collect and route all collected water intrusion to a heavy-duty Sump Pump, installed at the lowest point inside of the space. When water reaches the Pump, it will be pumped away from the home through an underground discharge line. Lastly, to prevent water from seeping into the space through the ground or foundation walls, our crew installs a 6 Mil Black Plastic Vapor Barrier. This final waterproofing component protects the crawl space and subfloor from standing water, and leaves the space shiny and clean! Not all crawlspaces look gruesome (although not necessarily pretty) this does not mean they do not have issues. This space had moisture which was causing mold to grow on their homes beams eating the foundation. Now thanks to crawlspace encapsulation with the use of our Clean space this family has a clean crawlspace where mold cannot grow. They also chose the Silverglo rigid foam wall insulation.
