When the homeowner in Charleston, Tennessee began experiencing concerns about the condition of their crawl space, they reached out to Master Foundation & Crawl Space Repair for a professional inspection. Like many homes in the region, the crawl space had exposed soil, limited moisture protection, and inadequate structural support beneath the home. Over time, these conditions can contribute to excess humidity, mold growth, and weakened floor systems that may cause sagging or uneven floors inside the home.

Our team designed a comprehensive solution to improve both the structural integrity and environmental conditions of the crawl space. To reinforce the floor system above, our specialists installed SmartJack® adjustable steel support posts along with a supplemental steel beam and sister joists to stabilize the structure and properly distribute weight beneath the home. These engineered supports are designed to provide long-term stabilization for weakened or sagging floor framing.

To address moisture and air quality concerns, the crawl space was professionally cleaned and treated for mold before installing a full CleanSpace® crawl space encapsulation system. This durable vapor barrier seals the crawl space from the exposed earth, helping prevent ground moisture from entering the home. A SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier and drainage system were also installed to actively control humidity levels and maintain a dry, healthy environment beneath the home.

Today, the crawl space has been transformed into a clean, sealed, and structurally supported environment. With improved moisture control and reinforced support beneath the home, the homeowner can now feel confident that their crawl space is protecting the structure above while contributing to healthier air and long-term stability.
