Before:
A homeowner in Manitowoc, WI was experiencing persistent moisture, musty odors, and cold floors above their crawl space. The exposed soil, unsealed rim joists, and damp air common to lake-influenced climates allowed humidity and outside air to move freely into the space. Condensation was forming on wood surfaces, insulation was deteriorating, and the crawl space was contributing to poor indoor comfort and rising energy costs.
After:
Sure-Dry encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace® vapor barrier, sealing the walls and floor to prevent moisture and vapor intrusion. The rim joists were then sealed with RimTight™, creating an airtight thermal boundary that blocks outside air, reduces heat loss, and improves overall energy efficiency.
The crawl space is now dry, sealed, and properly insulated, providing a healthier environment and improved comfort throughout the home.
Before
The homeowner in Manitowoc, WI had a finished basement experiencing recurring moisture issues during heavy rain and seasonal snowmelt. Water intrusion along the foundation perimeter and elevated humidity levels put finished walls, flooring, and overall indoor air quality at risk.
Inspection confirmed hydrostatic pressure at the footing and the need for improved water management and humidity control to protect the finished basement long-term.
After
Sure-Dry installed a complete basement waterproofing and moisture control system, including the WaterGuard® interior drainage system to capture groundwater at the footing and direct it to a new SuperSump® primary sump pump paired with an UltraSump® battery backup system for protection during power outages. To control humidity and protect finished materials, a Sedona® SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to maintain consistent, dry conditions year-round.
The finished basement is now dry, protected, and comfortable, with layered water protection and reliable humidity control in place.
Before
The homeowner in Manitowoc, WI experienced recurring basement water intrusion during heavy rain and seasonal snowmelt. Water was entering along the foundation perimeter at the wall-to-floor joint, creating damp conditions and concern about long-term moisture damage.
Inspection confirmed hydrostatic pressure at the footing and the absence of a reliable interior drainage and sump system to properly manage groundwater.
After
Sure-Dry installed a complete basement waterproofing solution, including the WaterGuard® interior drainage system to capture groundwater at the footing level and direct it to a new TripleSafe™ sump pump system. The TripleSafe system provides primary pumping power with built-in backup protection to handle high water volumes and power outages.
The basement is now dry, protected, and equipped with dependable, layered water management.
Before:
A Denmark homeowner was dealing with recurring basement water after storms, with seepage appearing along the wall–floor joint. Their existing sump couldn’t keep up during heavy rains, and winter brought a new risk: the exterior discharge line could freeze and back up water into the basement.
After:
We installed the WaterGuard® interior drainage system around the basement perimeter to capture seepage at its point of entry. Collected water now drains to a TripleSafe® sump system that provides three layers of protection—primary pump for everyday flow, a secondary pump for peak demand, and a battery-backup pump for power outages. To prevent winter backups, we added IceGuard® anti-freeze fittings on the exterior discharge.
If the line freezes, IceGuard safely vents water away from the home instead of back into the basement. The result is a dry, reliable basement year-round.
Robert and Dawn upgraded their sump pump to Sure-Dry's Super Sump Premier Pump System.
