One corner of their basement was on the verge of crumbling, a common yet alarming issue in many homes. With a desire to keep their home in the family and ensure its longevity, they sought a reliable solution. We stepped in with our specialized EverBrace, PowerBrace, and GeoLock Wall Anchor systems. Before:
A homeowner in Marathon had failing basement walls with stair-step cracking, a widening horizontal crack, and inward bowing after heavy rains. Landscaping and a driveway limited exterior access on one side, making a mixed repair approach necessary.

After:
We installed GeoLock® wall anchors on the accessible wall runs—tying interior wall plates to galvanized earth anchors set in stable soils beyond the backfill—and used PowerBrace™ steel I-beams on the tight-access wall to provide interior stabilization with the option for future tightening.

The foundation is now stabilized against further movement, and the homeowner has a clean, serviceable system designed for gradual improvement over time.

Before:
In Mosinee, WI, a homeowner observed a basement wall beginning to bow inward, with a horizontal crack forming across the center of the block. Marathon County’s dense, moisture-retentive soils were exerting increasing lateral pressure on the wall—especially during wet seasons and freeze–thaw cycles. The displacement created visible inward deflection, separation along mortar joints, and early signs of structural stress typical of an actively moving foundation wall.

After:
Sure-Dry installed the PowerBrace™ system to stabilize the bowing wall and arrest further movement. Each steel beam was laser-aligned, anchored at the floor and the sill plate, and torque-adjusted to apply controlled corrective pressure. The system now secures the wall in place and allows for future tightening as seasonal soil pressure changes.
This solution provides long-term structural reinforcement designed for Central Wisconsin’s expansive, moisture-sensitive soil conditions.

Before: A homeowner in Kronenwetter, WI began noticing signs of structural settlement beneath a home addition, including uneven floors and weakening support in the crawl space area below. Over time, the failing support system caused concerns about the stability of the addition and the long-term condition of the home.
