When water seeps under a concrete slab it will wash out the soil beneath. When this soil is washed out the concrete slabs will begin to seep and crack. The best way to avoid having to repair a cracked and damaged concrete slab is to seal off the joints right away.

We applied our NexusPro Joint Sealant, which is a very strong, waterproof glue that will keep the slabs together while also blocking out water from seeping through.

Before:
A homeowner in Sherwood noticed a section of concrete along the side of the garage had begun to sink near a downspout. Water runoff over time had washed out the supporting soil, creating uneven slabs and gaps at the joints. The settling not only caused pooling water near the foundation but also posed a tripping hazard when walking alongside the garage.

After:
Technicians injected PolyLevel® beneath the settled concrete to lift and stabilize the slabs back to their proper position. Once the surface was level, NexusPro® sealant was applied to fill joints and cracks, creating a durable, watertight finish that prevents future water intrusion.

The area now drains correctly, the slabs are even, and the homeowner has a long-term solution that protects the foundation from further settlement.
