This home had a long, above-ground discharge hose to drain water from the sump pump which was causing a headache for the homeowners every time they mowed their lawn and also a fear that the water would freeze and backup into their basement during the winter months. To fix these issues, we buried the discharge hose underground and installed an IceGuard® Discharge Line System.

The IceGuard System fits over the top of your discharge line to provide water with a secondary escape route. When the main line is working correctly, water simply flows out as usual. However, when the discharge line is frozen, the IceGuard® allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe. This ensures that any water your sump pump is removing from your basement is safely cleared away outside your home, preventing any backed up or frozen lines. 

In Presque Isle, WI, this homeowner faced recurring water problems in their basement, desperately needing a refit to keep their space dry and functional. We also installed WaterGuard Below Floor Drainage System to collect water seeping in and drain it to the sump pump.

This fieldstone foundation home built in the 1880's had long suffered from water and moisture issues that the homeowners had been dealing with and didn't know there was a solution to.
