This Antigo, WI home had a small crawl space located beneath an addition that needed better protection from ground moisture and Northern Wisconsin's cold temperatures.

Even a small crawl space can affect the living area directly above it. Moisture from exposed soil can contribute to damp or musty conditions, while uninsulated foundation walls can allow cold temperatures to reach the floor system and contribute to uncomfortable floors during the winter.

Sure-Dry encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace®, creating a durable vapor barrier between the addition and ground moisture below.

The crawl space foundation walls were also insulated with SilverGlo® rigid insulation panels. SilverGlo helps reduce heat loss through the foundation walls and provides additional thermal protection beneath the addition during Antigo's cold winter months.

Although this was a relatively small area beneath the home, properly encapsulating and insulating it can make a meaningful difference in protecting the space above. The finished crawl space is now cleaner, drier, and better insulated throughout Wisconsin's changing seasons.
