At this cottage on Shawano Lake, the homeowners were dealing with constant mildew smells, musty air, and worsening allergy symptoms like itchy, watery eyes. The crawl space beneath the original part of the home was damp, dusty, and likely harboring mold and mildew that was affecting the air inside the cottage—especially after a recent remodel added a second crawl space.
They wanted to make the space safe, clean, and comfortable—especially during lake season.
We installed a targeted system to address the moisture and mold issues at the source:
Mold-X™ treatment to kill existing mold and mildew on surfaces
Sedona SaniDry™ dehumidifier to keep humidity under control year-round
RimTight® joist insulation to seal out moisture and outside air
Crawl space vent covers to block humid air from entering
Now the crawl space is dry, treated, and actively controlling humidity—and the indoor air is fresher, cleaner, and healthier.

This sidewalk section of a West Bend, WI condominium near the sewer drain was sinking 1" when Sure-Dry was called lift the section back to level.

This crawl space in West Bend was suffering from structural and moisture issues, which were causing issues in the home above. Sure-Dry installed SmartJacks to stabilize the floor above and then installed a combination of CleanSpace Water Vapor Barrier, WaterGuard drainage, and sump pump to safely collect and remove any water that entered. A Sedona SaniDry Dehumidifier was also installed to control the humidity levels in the crawl space and, ultimately, the home above.
The crawl space of this home in Three Lakes, WI had several issues. Moisture getting into the crawl space was creating mold, causing insulation to "drip", damaging the wood floor joists and creating a foul smell throughout the home. Because the crawl space wasn't properly sealed, these homeowners were also losing a lot of heat through the crawl space walls.
To fix the moisture issues of this crawl space, Sure-Dry Basement Systems installed their CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier System. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier System is a durable, bright white crawl space liner that installs on the walls and floors, preventing water vapor and humidity from passing through. By keeping your crawl space dry, you protect your structure and insulation from mold and rot.
To make the crawl space more energy efficient, Sure-Dry installed their SilverGlo™ Crawl Space Wall Insulation panels. In addition to resisting heat conduction, SilverGlo™ boasts a radiant barrier, which reflects heat back into your crawl space for ultimate energy savings. SilverGlo™ crawl space insulation can also be installed on the perimeter of your floor framing system (rim joist) for maximum energy savings.
