This homeowner in Tallahassee was having serious issues with mold growing in their crawl space. John L. was trying to sell his home in Tallahassee, Florida. During an inspection he was told there was mold and leaking duct work in his crawlspace. John immediately hired a company to spray for mold and he cleaned the area himself. 

Right away a buyer put an offer on the home and as well had an inspection done on the home. STILL - there were many issues in the crawl space. John called HVAC people, Ductwork companies, and other companies that do encapsulation and got estimates from each. The building had previously been waterproofed. The sealant had deteriorated and failed -- This was allowing water to infiltrate through the cinder block into the conditioned area. Our crew dug trenches along three of the four exterior walls, cleaned the debris and dirt off the walls, applied a waterproofing sealant, and lastly, filled the trenches back in. 

The Indoor Environmental Management team cleaned and disinfected the entire wood floor system in the crawlspace. The original crawlspace access door and sump pump were also replaced. A proper vapor barrier was installed with complete coverage of the crawlspace soil floor, with no exposed gaps, up the foundation walls, and wrapped around all support piers. A Sanidry CX was also installed with discharge lines to the exterior of the residence.
