We began our project by installing 106 linear feet of drain tile around perimeter of crawlspace and tied into a SuperSump with a Zoeller M98 sump pump. We discharged that plumbing to the outside through an IceGuard that runs to a 15 foot underground downspout. To combat the heavy areas of mold, we sprayed Mold-X. In order to control moisture from the cove joint of the wall and the floor at the perimeter of the basement, we broke out the concrete floor, and drilled weep holes into the cinderblock. This will drain the wall at the cove joint so we can control where the water enters the home. We then installed drainage stone and the WaterGuard system to the trench, and concreted over the system. The SuperSump pump was plumbed to the back corner of the home and discharged to the outside, through an Iceguard and a buried drain tile 12 feet away from the house by the fence, terminating in a drywell box...

To help manage moisture and humidity, we installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System over exterior walls, across the floor, and around existing pilasters. The encapsulation system was buttoned along the walls, with all seams on the walls and floor overlapped, then sealed with urethane, and secured with industrial tape.
We sunk a drainage system around the perimeter of this basement to capture water seepage, and Wall Anchors to stabilize a bowing wall.
We started our project by removing approximately 12 inches of concrete, along the entire west wall of foundation. After the concrete was removed, we placed 37 feet of WaterGuard system in the trench which included filter cloth, a bed of stone, and putting the floor back together. The super sump pump was installed against the foundation wall. The plumbing was run up the foundation wall to the south west corner. Then discharged into an IceGuard and a 15 foot underground downspout.
WaterGuard is designed to drain cinderblocks of water and to push water into a sump pump. Here we have installed an UltraSump pump to discharge the water from the perimeter drain.
