In order to collect water in the crawlspace we installed a drain tile system with a better stone, and tied that into a SuperSump pump.
The WaterGuard solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint and redirect that water to a sump pit. The Zoeller 1/3 HP sump pump will eject water out a discharge line we buried and covered back with soil.
The DryTrak solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint and redirect that water to a sump pit. We then lined the walls with EmeShield to flash water from the foundation walls into our DryTrak system.
Evident signs of water protrusion were present when our estimator first visited this crawlspace.
To help mitigate water in this dirt crawlspace and redirect seepage to a discharge system, we laid Drain Tile in trenches along the perimeter of the crawlspace. We connected the Drain Tile to discharge-system sump pit. The sump pump would then eject water through an underground discharge in the yard. In the final steps, we laid CleanSpace along the floors and walls to trap vapors beneath it. We then installed an Energy-Star rated Aprilaire E100 dehumidification system.
We installed a Waterguard system around the full perimeter of the basement, dewatering the floor and wall joint, to prevent hydrostatic pressure below the floor. In the south west wall of the basement, near the sink, the SuperSump pump system was installed. The discharge plumbing was ran through the foundation wall into an IceGuard, and was buried 35 feet away from the foundation into a drywell. On the foundation walls, the Cleanspace wall liner was installed to flush water that leaks several feet up the wall. It appeared that some areas may have solid filled cores, so the liner will...
To control the water that would seep in from the egress window, we installed a well duct to guide that seepage into a perimeter drain. This drain was set into the floor and created a channel to a sump pump.
To help stabilize this bowing red brick foundation wall, we dug holes on the property away from the foundation. Then, inside the home, we drove 3/4" galvanized steel rods through anchor plates which is secured to the inside wall. The steel rod was then connected to an earth anchor - reinforced with rebar and concrete - inside the hole on the property. Nova plates are designed to catch more surface area of a bowing wall, and to better help with foundation walls with wall shearing.
