When Dave came out, his experience showed, as he said, THIS is your problem and HERE is the solution. The "competition" proposed a massively invasive project involving trenching around half the basement at more than an order of magnitude higher cost. They were willing to do the work Dave proposed, but would NOT warranty it. So Dave's proposal was cheaper, less disruptive, and warrantied.
