Missoula, MT 59047Hello! Our offer was just accepted on a house in Missoula, MT and we are set to close on June 4th. One of the things our home inspector noted was potential issues due to the crawl space. It is currently bare dirt, and also there are small vertical support beams for the house that are in contact with the dirt. Also, it is not sealed off from the unfinished (cinderblock and cement) basement that we plan to some day finish. We want to insulate and vapor barrier the crawl space (including having those vertical support beams not contacting the dirt), AND we want to seal it off from the unfinished basement (but still have access doors to the area). I am also currently communicating with a radon mitigation company who will be working in the same area, and would like to coordinate the jobs to ensure they don't hamper each other.
