When our team arrived at this home in West Jefferson, NC, the crawl space was in rough shape. The insulation was falling apart, moisture had taken its toll on the wooden beams, and the air quality was poor. Years of humidity and water intrusion had created an environment that could affect the home's comfort and structure. This was the first step in a complete crawl space transformation.
Before the waterproofing installation, this Gibsonville, NC crawl space showed clear signs of moisture and disorganization. The exposed dirt floor and open ductwork created a humid environment that allowed condensation and potential mold growth to form. The tangled wiring and piping added to the challenge of maintaining a clean, energy-efficient space. This image represents the starting point of the transformation before the drainage system, sump pump, and CleanSpace vapor barrier were installed to turn this damp crawl space into a dry, protected area.
To help control water around the home, our team began by installing a new exterior drainage line with a catch basin. This system directs water away from the foundation, preventing pooling near the home and reducing the risk of crawl space moisture issues.
This crawl space in Cary, NC was in rough shape. The floor was bare dirt, insulation was falling from the joists, and ductwork was exposed to moisture and contaminants. Without a vapor barrier or proper drainage, the space was vulnerable to mold, wood rot, and poor air quality inside the home.
