Helical piers were purchased, as specified in the contract and in the engineering report, but they sent a crew out to install push piers instead. Fortunately I was here and caught this before they started, and they rescheduled the work, but this should not have happened.

Alfonzo and his team really did a great job. I initially paid an extra hand-held pier charge for the two piers not accessible from the driveway but after reassuring me they could use the machine without damaging the landscaping I reluctantly agreed, and upon completion you couldn't tell they were ever there. They removed the hand-held pier charge from the final balance.
