The crew fallowed details of proposed specification, even though when they arrived it was obvious to everyone that the location of the sump pump was not the best scenario. The basement floor was already graded to drain to a low spot which was not where Kevin recommenced to place pump. They ended up breaking a trench from the low spot to the pump- extra work that we thought was unnecessary. We had to relocate the power outlet because we had installed it near that low spot. Too bad they did not have the authorization to trust their judgement based on circumstance.
