This project focused on transforming the crawl space into a cleaner, drier, and more secure environment. We began by cleaning the area, wiping down heating ducts and sewer lines, removing spider webs and loose debris, and treating the concrete surfaces to help sanitize areas affected by rodent activity.

A durable moisture barrier was installed and carefully sealed around the footings, support piers, and foundation walls, while a drainage layer was placed beneath the liner to help control ground moisture and provide long-term protection. The support piers were also wrapped to create a more complete moisture barrier.

To improve comfort and energy efficiency, new insulation was installed along the foundation walls and in the rim joist areas, with all seams carefully sealed to reduce drafts. A new insulated crawl space door was installed to better seal the entrance, and wire mesh was added where needed to help block potential rodent entry points.

The result is a cleaner, healthier, and better-insulated crawl space that helps protect the home from moisture, pests, and energy loss for years to come.

To improve air quality and control humidity, a dehumidifier was installed on a dedicated stand to help maintain a dry, healthy environment beneath the home. All wood surfaces were also treated to help prevent mould growth and protect the crawl space from excess moisture.

This project focused on cleaning, repairing, and protecting the crawl space after signs of rodent activity. We began by removing unwanted stored items with the homeowner's approval, followed by the removal of old insulation, debris, rodent droppings, and spider webs. The entire crawl space was then thoroughly HEPA vacuumed, and all concrete surfaces were treated with a specialized germicide to help sanitize the area.

To help prevent future rodent problems, wire mesh was installed at identified entry points, including along the rear baseplate and floor. Any rotted baseplates were also replaced to restore the integrity of the crawl space structure.

To help manage any water seepage, we add a durable drainage mat underneath the moisture barrier and up the walls, giving the space a rougher surface that’s great for storing items and adding long-lasting durability. Any old, rotted 2x4 supports are replaced to ensure your structure is stable.

Next, we install high-quality, foil-faced insulation along the walls, sealing all the seams so no air or moisture can get through. We also treat all wood surfaces with a specialized mould prevention solution to keep your crawl space fresh and healthy. Finally, we remove old insulation from the floor joist area, making sure everything stays clean and dry.

We recently finished a full crawl space makeover to help make this area cleaner, drier, and better protected for the long term. First, we installed a heavy duty liner system to seal off the space and keep out moisture, making sure everything was tightly secured around the walls, footings, and insulation. To help with drainage and make the ground more comfortable for storage, we laid down a special mat under the liner and brought it up along the lower walls. We also added insulation around the rim of the crawl space to help improve energy efficiency. Next, we treated all the wooden and organic surfaces to prevent mold, gave the space a good cleaning including wiping down the tops of heating ducts and pipes, clearing out spider webs, and removing any loose debris. We also repaired a crack in the foundation by injecting it with a flexible sealant and reinforcing it with a strong material to keep it stable and dry.
