SmartJack support posts were installed in the customer's crawl space to address structural issues that caused wall cracks and separation. These posts provide additional support to stabilize the foundation, prevent further damage, and correct any sagging or uneven floors.
We permanently stabilized this home's sagging floors and sticking doors by installing SmartJacks with steel supplemental beams throughout the crawl space.
The floor joists and beams in this crawl space weren't effectively supporting the floor above. To address these issues, we installed our SmartJack System. SmartJack permanently stabilizes existing beams and floor joists to address issues like uneven and sloping floors, weakened or undersized support beams. These issues are often due to moisture damage or settling soil.
This Saint Augustine home was showing clear signs of foundation settlement horizontal and stair-step cracks running along the stucco siding and chimney, combined with visible discoloration at the base of the wall due to moisture accumulation. The symptoms suggested long-term structural shifting likely caused by unstable soil conditions.
To solve the issue, we installed helical piers at critical points along the foundation to permanently stabilize and lift the structure. The second image shows one of the helical piers anchored deep beneath the home, reaching load-bearing strata to provide long-term support. This method not only prevents further settling but also protects the home's structural integrity and value. Another successful save by the Sunshine Foundation team!
This St. Augustine home was experiencing weakened structural support in the crawl space, leading to uneven floors and reduced stability above. Over time, shifting soil and moisture exposure can cause original supports to settle or fail.
Our team installed heavy-duty crawl space support jacks to reinforce the floor system and restore proper support. These adjustable steel posts are set on stable footings and designed to permanently stabilize sagging floors while withstanding long-term ground movement.
The result: improved floor strength, better load distribution, and long-lasting structural stability for the home.
