This elevator shaft of a local medical facility in Orangeburg, SC was having issues with water seeping into the elevator shaft, starting to rust any exposed metal. After trying to use a tar-based sealant to keep the water out, water was still coming in, even if a smaller amount. In order to keep the elevator shaft dry for good, our team installed a perimeter drainage waterproofing system called DryTrak and installed a sump pump to pump the water out and away from the space.

This Richmond Hill, GA homeowner became concerned about her home's foundation when she noticed her hardwood floors cupping and the tile floors cracked. She contacted Lowcountry Foundation Repair to schedule an appointment with one of our inspectors. 

Our inspector suggested that she encapsulate her crawl space with our CleanSpace to prevent further moisture and weakening of her floor joists. CleanSpace is a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels. He also suggested that she lift the settling foundation with SmartJacks, galvanized steel column support that lifts sagging floor joists. 

After four days of installation, the crawl space was completely encapsulated and the sinking floors were no longer a frustration for the homeowner, she was more than pleased with the outcome! 

The customer wanted to seal their crawl space off from the inside and reduce humidity levels and remove musty odors.
