Basement Insulated and Waterproofed in Paris, IL

A basement in Paris, IL was having some water issues, and it needed to be insulated. To solve these issues, Woods first installed the WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System. These pipes intercept water at the wall and floor joint of the basement and drain it towards the TripleSafe Sump System, which was also installed to pump the water away from the house. This advanced sump pump system will remain working even if there is no power to the house, thanks to the UltraSump battery backup pumping system. Next, the SaniDry XP Basement Dehumidifier was installed to keep the air dry and clean. This will also reduce the risk of mold growth, and it is ten times more powerful than traditional dehumidifiers. Lastly, SilverGlo wall insulation was installed. This insulation system features a radiant barrier with graphite infused in it that reflects heat back into the basement to save energy.

Sump Pump Replacement in Oakwood, Illinois

Andy S. of Oakwood, Illinois had an old rusty sump pit and need it to be replaced, so he decided to call woods Basement Systems to find a solution. Systems design specialist, Greg B. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard.

Foreman, Tyler S. installed the products. THe TripleSafe sump pump uses its primary pump, secondary pump, and battery-powered backup pump to guarantee that your home stays dry. The WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it collects water that seeps through the walls. It then takes that water and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home.

Now, Andy S. has a safe, dry home.

Waterproofing A Basement In Oakwood, IL

A basement in Oakwood, Illinois had some water leaking through the wall and collecting along the perimeter. To fix this issue, Woods came out and first installed the CleanSpace System. This system seals the wall and directs water to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard was installed next. This is a series of piping that runs directly underneath the floor, effectively keeping out debris and dirt to avoid clogging. These pipes guide the collected water to the nearby sump pump to be removed from the home. Thanks to these two installs, this home will stay dry for decades to come.

Installing CleanSpace in a Crawlspace

Many homes, like this one in Carbondale, IL., have dirt crawlspaces. A dirt crawlspace may seem harmless enough, but it can actually damage your home as well as decrease its energy efficiency.

The dirt in a crawlspace can allow animals and bugs to burrow in, as well as water vapor. A dirt crawlspace is also totally uninsulated, allowing conditioned air to escape and allowing humid, hot air in during the summer and frigid, cold air in during the winter. Dirt crawlspaces are full of problems.

But there is a solution to these problems; CleanSpace™. CleanSpace™ is a vapor barrier similar to a pool liner but specifically designed for crawlspaces. This tough, tear-proof liner can block the water vapor rising from the dirt floors or seeping through the walls of the crawlspace as well as block off entries that insects and rodents use to get into the crawlspace. CleanSpace™ is also anti-microbial, meaning mold can't grow on it or get past it. Once a crawlspace is incapsulated with CleanSpace™ it is protected from not only dirt, but insects and rodents as well as water vapor and mold. This opens up an opportunity to insulate the crawlspace as well. Since no animals will be able to rip the insulation, and water vapor and mold spores can't get in to ruin it, the crawlspace is the perfect place to insulate. With insulation below the floor, the entire home will be easier to heat or cool all year round.

A dirt crawlspace is full of problems, but a CleanSpace™ crawlspace can keep your home clean, dry and energy efficient.
