Stephen T.

Stephen joins the TC Hafford team after growing up in the waterproofing industry. His father started a basement waterproofing company in Baltimore, MD, the year before Stephen was born, and some of his earliest memories are of helping hand out flyers at the Maryland Home & Garden Show. Stephen began working on an installation crew at age 13 during summer breaks, and after graduating, he worked full-time as an installation foreman for two years before moving into a sales role. Since moving to Maine in 2017, he's continued working in sales across several industries, including appliances, mattresses, and windows and doors. Each role has strengthened his passion for working with homeowners - listening, educating, and helping them feel confident in their decisions.

Stephen is certified through Contractor Nation in their Building Science, Insulation, Gutter Shutter, and Waterproofing courses, giving him a well-rounded view of considerations for your home project. His day-to-day role centers around helping homeowners who have reached out to us to solve a problem. He starts by thoroughly inspecting the space to identify the root cause of the issue. From there, Stephen will walk you through what he finds, explain your options clearly, and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll determine the solution that best fits your home and your goals. Stephen enjoys meeting and connecting with people. He also appreciates the investigative side of the inspection, identifying the root cause of an issue and recommending the right solution.

When Stephen is not in your attic or basement, he loves spending time at home with his wife and their three dogs, reading, writing, playing video games, and working on projects around the house and in the garden
