This first photo shows what can happen if you neglect your sump pump. Silt and sediment can form and clog the drain. The second photo shows clean, clear water running through the sump, the way it should work. Having your system serviced regularly will reduce the chances of build up and will also ensure that your drain and pump are running at full capacity.
Before and after photos of basement waterproofing in Worcester, Ma.
Before and after the application of our CleanSpace vapor barrier.
This customer in Boston, MA wanted a better solution to discharge the water getting into his basement because his current setup was too weak for certain rain storms. This is a common issue we get from homeowners, but luckily, we have the best solution which is our TripleSafe sump pump! Coming with multiple high-powered pumps, one of them being a battery backup system, this system will most definitely out perform is old one!
This homeowner in Sheffield, MA gave us a call because their existing waterproofing system was no longer working for their home that has an over 100 year old foundation. Our inspector, Andy, went out to the home and drew up a plan that would keep the basement dry going forward. On installation day, Foreman Tomas and his crew first removed the existing sump pump and dehumidifier that weren't doing their job, then they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the stone foundation walls to corral seepage into the WaterGuard drainage system which was installed along the floor's perimeter to collect groundwater. Our TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed in front of the basement door that leads outside to catch surface water and it's connected to the WaterGuard drainage system. All of that water is then channeled into the TripleSafe sump pump which sends it all out of the basement through two discharge lines. They also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to replace the one they had. On the outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to prevent water from flooding back into the basement if the discharge line ever gets clogged or freezes in the winter. Now the homeowner can feel confident in their waterproofing system!
