The home owner in Riverside, RI was eager to get his basement inspected by DryZone Basement Systems. After meeting with  our system design specialist Patrick Cahill they decided on a perimeter drain system, sump pump and vapor barrier to protect their home from water and moisture. 

Clara, from East Providence, RI, had a nasty, open bucket working overtime to try and remove water from her basement. During heavy rains it would always seep in making her entire finished basement wet! We upgraded her bucket to a TripleSafe sump pump. TrenchDrain is a grated drain that runs acorsss the doorway in the basement. In this East Providence, RI home, it was put in place to keep water from entering the basement from the bulkhead door. It was always flooding and seeping into the basement during heavy rains. The TrenchDrain catches the water and directs it to the sump pump.

An open sump pit is not an effective solution to waterproof your basement! Anything can fall in there and disrupt the pump or clog the lines (debris, rodents, etc).
