The existing pump was sitting in an open mop bucket that was dropped in a hole in the basement. The new TripleSafe Sump Pump will keep this basement dry while also protecting from radon (since it is a closed system).

Our service technician Nick DeCosta was on an annual maintenance visit in Raynham and came across this pump that needed a lot of attention from DryZone! The property in Raynham has an iron ochre problem. The orange, rust colored slim all over the pump forms from the iron bacteria. Nick rinsed and cleaned the pump and performed annual maintenance on the system.

Iron ochre is a waste byproduct of iron bacteria and occurs naturally in the soil across the world. This orange 'goop' is iron ochre and it can clog a system (think of it like cholesterol clogging an artery).
