Richard R. in Floyd, IA had water leaking into his basement. He started searching for waterproofing contractors and he found the American Waterworks website. He was glad to see that we are waterproofing experts, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, went to his home to inspect his basement and design a solution. Mike developed a waterproofing plan that best fit Richard’s needs, so Richard scheduled the installation.
Our production team started the installation process by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They laid a partial perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system around the basement floor. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump and filled the void around the sump pump and WaterGuard with rock. Lastly, they replaced the concrete over the WaterGuard and around the sump pump. The drainage system now properly drains water to the sump pump, and from there the water is pushed through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Richard can rest easy knowing that water will no longer be in his basement. He is glad he chose to invest in protecting his home for years to come.

A homeowner in Clear Lake, MN, decided to take a look at their crawl space and noticed it was in rough shape. Instead of ignoring the issue, the homeowner wanted to take action and have it repaired. Through the grapevine, the homeowner heard that American Waterworks is known for their excellent work. Curious, the homeowner visited our website and noticed we do have crawl space services. The homeowner decided to give us a chance and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Shane. Once Shane arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began the crawl space inspection. Shane discovered that the foundation was failing and needed to be permanently stabilized. Additionally, he found that the crawl space should be encapsulated. Shane told the homeowner of his findings and also provided them with a solution to revive the crawl space. The homeowner agreed with the plan of action and production commenced. Our Foreman Raul, and his crew traveled to the home and started by making sure the crawl space was ready for the PowerBrace installation. The crew installed eighteen PowerBraces around the entire crawl space perimeter. Once the PowerBraces were installed, the crew laid the Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl floor to cover the Drainage Matting. Foamax is installed on the crawl space walls to ensure the crawl space stays insulated. Finally, the crew put the TripleSafe sump pump in place in the corner of the crawl space. The homeowner was amazed by the crawl space transformation. American Waterworks is happy to encapsulate another crawl space.
